When my new pricing structure is introduced July 15th, I’ll also be adding some fun new products.  Here’s one of my most favorite items– the image box.  It’ll be included with ALL digital packages and comes complete with a set of reference prints featuring each image in your gallery.  Cool, right?  And if you’re not purchasing a digital package, you’ll be able to find this product on the a la carte menu as well.

Image boxes are totally custom to each session.  Yours will be designed with your photos on the cover and text on the front and/or spine.  The box covers are printed on lustre photographic paper and finished with a matte laminate.  If you’re familiar with my print wrap product, the image boxes feel identical to that– smooth and substantial.  I really love this product for it’s uniqueness and quality construction.  In my opinion, image boxes are the quintessential boutique photography product.  They’re great for storing your photo prints and as a display piece at home or in the office.  I know some people even use them to store things like pieces of hair from baby’s first haircut, hospital bracelets from baby’s delivery, etc.  It’s all up to you how you want to use your image box :)

Forgive me for my less-than-stellar product photography skills, haha.  I know these photos don’t serve justice to the image boxes, so please ask to see samples at your next session.  I usually carry a bunch of stuff around with me in my Mary Poppins bag :)

Keep an eye out for more product spotlight posts coming soon!

I’m super excited to announce the details of my last round of mini sessions for the year.  The theme is “Heirloom Baby” and we’ll be incorporating antique props (chairs, cradles and cribs, suitcases, dolls, toys, books, etc) and clothing to create vintage-like photos of your little ones :)   What makes this event really unique is that wardrobe will be provided!  Pretty awesome, right??  I’ve got an ever-growing stash of vintage baby and childrens clothing that I can’t wait to show off.  I have multiple sizes but I’m offering these sessions to BOYS and GIRLS aged 6 months to 5 years old.  If your child is just outside that range, contact me and we’ll see what we can set up :)

Take a look at the info card below and give me a call to schedule your session (email works too).  Keep in mind that space is limited and I do require a $25 deposit to hold your spot.  Thanks!

Last weekend I was fortunate enough to participate in a fundraising event with IN S.T.E.P.P.S. (read more here).  We opened the doors to anyone interested in updating their family photos and we ended up with a full day of mini-sessions– and some amazing shots.

I want to thank IN S.T.E.P.P.S. for the invitation, and especially Lindsey who worked her butt off helping out.  Thank you!

Here’s a little sneak peek from our day, enjoy!

I’ve been meaning to show a few of my favorite shots from the Reineke family’s session, and finally here they are :)   If you’ll notice, there’s a certain star of the show name Deagon.  I just love this little guy.  And can you believe I got eye contact from a 7-week old?  He loves me almost as much as I love him!

This session took place in the Reineke’s backyard in Granite Bay, a suburb of Sacramento.  Can you see how much his grandma adores him?  Like I said, he’s a star :)

Enjoy!

Three generations.

Gorgeous sisters!

Ahhh, sibling love!

I love photographing sweet baby girls like Mairead.  I don’t plan to have any more children, so these sessions help me fulfill my cravings for little dresses, lots of pink, and all things girly.  Mairead is celebrating her first birthday and let me tell you– she’s one sharp baby!  She has a big vocabulary and is so smart!  I suppose that’s because her mommy is a teacher :)

We started our session at the park and finished up at my home studio.  I use the word “studio” loosely as you’d probably laugh if you saw that my shooting space is actually my kitchen.  Hey– it works!  Just check out these lovely shots we got of Mairead.

Kristine and John– enjoy this sneak peek of your little princess!  I hope she left enough cake afterwards to share with you two :)

(Oh, and if you’re wondering, Mairead (pronounced MAH raid) is the Gaelic form of Margaret and means “pearl”.  Don’t you love it??)
