Meet Becca and Dave.  An adorably in-love couple who made my job so incredibly easy.  They were naturals!  I couldn’t be happier with these photos and I can’t wait to share their wedding images next!

p.s. Presidio Park is a San Diego treasure and clearly a dream for photographers :)

Lindsey is one of my dearest friends.  Although I’ll be tearin’ up the dance-floor at her wedding next year instead of photographing it, I was so honored she asked me to capture engagement photos for her and John.  I admire their love and couldn’t be happier for them to become husband and wife!  Get ready for my awesome dance moves, guys!

You might remember these two lovebirds from their homecoming session a couple of months ago here.  I am always so flattered and excited when my homecoming clients reach out to me again for portrait sessions– I love getting to see these couples settled into their personalities and in a relaxed, intimate setting.

Jessica and Zach are clearly adorable and photographing them was effortless because they have such cute, natural mannerisms that seem to sparkle :)  They brought along their pooch who I might suspect rules the roost in their home :)

Amanda and Bruce.  I knew from the moment I saw them together for the first time that they fit together like puzzle pieces.  She is vibrant and strong-willed; he is laid-back and flexible.  Amanda is a ‘take charge’ kind of gal who get’s things done.  Being cut from the same cloth myself, I know from first hand experience that it takes a near-perfect man to impress a girl like Amanda.  Thankfully she found that perfect puzzle piece in Bruce on a seemingly ordinary day at the dog park.  He was an animal lover, too, and made Amanda feel vulnerable and real.  She wasn’t a damsel in distress by any stretch of the imagination, but it sure did feel good when Bruce wrapped his arms around her and carried her off into the sunset.  That’s the thing about girls like Amanda.  They can conquer the world alone– until one day they meet someone like Bruce who makes them realize they don’t have to, nor do they want to.  And that’s what I love about this love story.  It’s genuine.  It’s romantic.  And it’s set up perfectly for a happy ending.

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Ferguson.  I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for you :)

I met Amanda and Bruce in Santa Monica for their engagement session on a very busy Sunday night.  I was running on no sleep since the day before, and admittedly, I was a little sluggish.  L.A. traffic and the parking situation in Santa Monica almost brought me to tears.  Thank goodness for this awesome couple.  We had so much fun that I totally forgot that I was tired and hungry.

Hanging out with Amanda and Bruce felt like old times, even though I had only met Amanda once prior.  It’s so refreshing when you have clients who feel like friends– clients who laugh and joke with you, who make your job so easy.  Thank you two for being so great to work with :)

Here are some of my favorite shots from their engagement session.  Their wedding blog post is up next, so stay tuned!
