Brittany and Jason were married in classic Catholic tradition in the gorgeous Saint Agnes Catholic Church in Point Loma.  The church is in itself a beautiful structure, but even more beautiful is the story behind why Brittany and Jason chose this church for their wedding.  You see, back when this church opened its doors in the 1930′s, the very first bride to kneel at that altar was none other than Brittany’s grandmother.  I was so honored to capture this wedding and witness the love shared between and among these two families.

After the ceremony, the bridal party and I headed to Presidio Park where we took advantage of the last moments of daylight for portraits before heading to the San Diego Sheraton Hotel and Marina for the reception.  I have to note that Brittany and her mom did a fabulous job creating all of the centerpieces and flower arrangements.  Wow!

A special thank you to Brittany’s mom, Lynnel, for having me be a part of this amazing day. (Shout out to Lynnel’s Hair Design!)

Before the reception started I caught mom and daughter sharing a tears of joy in the hallway as mom fixed the bride’s hair.  I love these quiet, candid moments.San-Diego-Catholic-Wedding-Saint-Agnes-Sheraton (55)San-Diego-Catholic-Wedding-Saint-Agnes-Sheraton (56)San-Diego-Catholic-Wedding-Saint-Agnes-Sheraton (57)San-Diego-Catholic-Wedding-Saint-Agnes-Sheraton (58)San-Diego-Catholic-Wedding-Saint-Agnes-Sheraton (59)San-Diego-Catholic-Wedding-Saint-Agnes-Sheraton (60)San-Diego-Catholic-Wedding-Saint-Agnes-Sheraton (61)San-Diego-Catholic-Wedding-Saint-Agnes-Sheraton (63)San-Diego-Catholic-Wedding-Saint-Agnes-Sheraton (62)San-Diego-Catholic-Wedding-Saint-Agnes-Sheraton (64)San-Diego-Catholic-Wedding-Saint-Agnes-Sheraton (67)San-Diego-Catholic-Wedding-Saint-Agnes-Sheraton (66)San-Diego-Catholic-Wedding-Saint-Agnes-Sheraton (68)

Casey and Adam were married on November 10th, a beautiful Southern California fall day that also happened  to be the 237th birthday of the United States Marine Corps.  Adam is a former Marine and it was only fitting to celebrate his years of service to this country on the same day he took an oath of honor and commitment to his bride, Casey.

I’ve been a witness to dozens of weddings, but I’ll always remember the ceremony from this day.  Casey and Adam’s pastor had requested the pair fill out a questionnaire about each other prior to the wedding.  It turns out these two are as witty and charming as they are beautiful.  But there was one answer the pastor shared that stood out.  Adam was asked to compare Casey to an inanimate object and as a picture-perfect wedding day would have it, he knocked this task out of the park.  Adam referred to Casey as an Eastern lighthouse, tall and majestic, helping lead him through the fog of life.  It was eloquent, romantic and impressive.  Men, take notes :)

I am always so honored to share in these amazing moments with my clients, who more often than not, end up my friends and not just clients.  I am thrilled for Adam and Casey and can’t wait to see what lies ahead of them in their life together.  Semper Fi, you two :)

Casey and Adam were married at Sunshine Mountain Vineyard in San Marcos, CA.

And for your listening pleasure, a guest captured this video of the bride singing to her groom after I left for the night.  Man, can she sing or what?!?!  I am SO impressed :)

“If you press me to say why I loved him, I can say no more  than because he was he, and I was I.” – Michel  de Montaigne

If we’re lucky, we find that one person who brings us to life.  The one person who makes every breath deeper, every touch electric, every day memorable.  Becca and Dave are two of the lucky ones.  I don’t have to explain in great length why their love is special– you can see it on their faces.  Like the quote, their love is simple and pure.  It works because they were meant to be.  And that’s all you can hope for on your wedding day; to stand in front of your other half and be fearless for the future because you know there just isn’t anyone else for you.

Becca and Dave married each other on the beach in Cardiff by the Sea at The Beach House restaurant.  After the ceremony, they moved inside to an intimate dinner with their closest friends and family.

Meet Becca and Dave.  An adorably in-love couple who made my job so incredibly easy.  They were naturals!  I couldn’t be happier with these photos and I can’t wait to share their wedding images next!

p.s. Presidio Park is a San Diego treasure and clearly a dream for photographers :)

Lindsey is one of my dearest friends.  Although I’ll be tearin’ up the dance-floor at her wedding next year instead of photographing it, I was so honored she asked me to capture engagement photos for her and John.  I admire their love and couldn’t be happier for them to become husband and wife!  Get ready for my awesome dance moves, guys!
