You might recognize the sweet little face in these photos– this is the third time I’ve photographed Yasmine. This photo session was of the special kind, though. Yasmine’s mom just got back from Afghanistan, where she served our country for several months. Can you even imagine being gone from your child for that long? It’s a sacrifice not many women are willing to make. I guess that selflessness is what makes our military so amazing.
I’m thrilled I was able to witness first-hand the love these two share. And it was so nice to meet Rebekkah in person finally. We communicated through email for many months planning Yasmine’s previous sessions. I knew from just written words that her daughter was her world, but these photos bring truth and color to simple black and white letters on a computer screen.
