When we moved to North Carolina I knew it would take time to rebuild my business to what it was in California.  I decided that with fewer clients I would be able to focus on some business goals that fell to the wayside in the last year.  My number one goal was to get published, in print.  And that dream began to take shape when I received an email from Woman’s World Magazine back in April.  The email said they were looking for military homecoming photos and referenced a homecoming I had posted on my blog.  I replied and raised the ante by providing several more homecoming galleries for the editors to look through.  My approach worked and they selected 10 of my images to feature in their “Hero Homecomings” feature in the Father’s Day issue.  I was thrilled!  Not only because my photos would be published, but because the photos would be shared alongside my clients’ stories!  It was pretty exciting 🙂

Needless to say, being published has lit a fire under my butt.  I’m raising the stakes and hoping to be published in print at least 3 more times this year.  Fingers crossed!
