It’s been a long time since I posted last, and even longer since I posted something personal. I photograph my son nearly every day but don’t get around to showing the images to anyone. It’s a little sad to think there are thousands of pictures of my son just sitting on hard drives. It’s my mid-year goal to share personal photos a little more often 🙂
As most of my readers know, my husband returned from an 8-month deployment in May. My son and I are were thrilled to get him back, but as military spouses know, there is definitely an adjustment period to work through. It’s hard being in charge 24/7 and then having to all of a sudden share that role. While my husband was gone, I didn’t make an effort to get my son’s hair cut, but within a matter of days, my husband had decided it was time. Of course I wasn’t ready. I knew that once those pretty golden locks were snipped, my baby would no longer look like a baby and we’d be entering a whole new phase of childhood. Just thinking about it now makes me so sad! It’s hard to imagine my little boy will be 4 in October.
Despite my tears, I managed to document Atticus’ first haircut. Thank you to the kind ladies at Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids in Oceanside for a great experience.
p.s. My husband said he instantly regretted the decision to cut our boy’s hair. We’re now in the process of letting it grow out again 🙂

Alicia, he is SO beautiful! His blonde locks were just darling, but he looks just as handsome with the shorter cut. Man, he is going to be a ladies man that’s for sure! Congrats on getting your hubby home! I look forward to finally having the chance to do business with you!
